Safe-T-Proof Fastening System
Put to Test in Berkeley Earthquake Lab

The furnished house shown at right is located inside the Earthquake Lab at UC Berkeley and was built for NBC's "Dateline" TV show. The show demostrates how a structure built using today's building codes can withstand an 8.0 magnitude earthquake.

Inside, it shows how furniture and equipment fastened using the Safe-T-Proof Fastening System holds up in an 8.0 quake. The photos below show furniture after the 8.0. Everything we fastened held. Other pictures show what happened after we disengaged the furniture from the Safe-T-Proof Fastening System and another simulated 8.0 quake was generated.

This "Dateline" special featuring the lab test on our fastening system will air on Sunday,  May 21 @ 7pm PST.
